On most airlines the basic domestic round trip reward is 25,000 miles. There are so few seats that unless you book months in advance it usually takes 40,000-50,000 miles to get a ticket. Some use 1000 miles = $10.00 towards the price of a ticket. 25,000 miles = $250.00. Coach fare on short notice could be $500 so that's 50,000 miles.
Here, took me about a minute to find this. http://www.alaskaair.com/as/mileageplan/AwardsUSACanada.asp
