i was wondering how many miles i'd need for a free flight. 10 Points.?
I plan on flying from Anchorage, Alaska to somewhere in California around Stockton (sacramento maybe). It's a distance of just over 3,000 miles and i was wondering how many miles i'd need on my account to get a free ticket. any rough estimate would help. and it doesnt matter what airline weather its alaska air, delta, continental. I just need help on a rough estimate. Thank you best answer is worth 10 poitns.

On most airlines the basic domestic round trip reward is 25,000 miles. There are so few seats that unless you book months in advance it usually takes 40,000-50,000 miles to get a ticket. Some use 1000 miles = $10.00 towards the price of a ticket. 25,000 miles = $250.00. Coach fare on short notice could be $500 so that's 50,000 miles.
